Of course, when someone gets to the big time in marketing, or in nearly any other business for that matter, people begin to wonder if he or she is a scam. Take for instance, James Schramko. Scam artist or simply a successful marketer? Lets look at the evidence.
First, lets look at who Internet scam artists might be or what they might do. Chances are, they dont have a history or a reputation. They just materialize out of nowhere and maybe have some kind of exciting and fake background. There is no blog and no other kinds of dated exposure to gauge how long theyve been in the trenches. Of course, don’t rule out that it could just apply to newbies too.
They may also have some kind of schnazzy web page offering a product that is either insanely expensive or insanely cheap, depending on the approach…especially if theyre really vague about what it does. Again, this could, theoretically, be just the sloppy work of an amateur.
Lastly, they either dont deliver a product, or the product doesnt work. Thats the true sign of a scam artist. Naturally, the positive reputation of a scam artist doesnt last very long.
Now, does any of this relate to James Schramko? The answer is no. His blog dates back to April of 2006, at least from whats on the visible archives. Basically, that proves that he has at least some history. He also has a respectable reputation. If you google search james schramko scam, youre not going to find anything negative about him.
His web pages are informative and his products are fairly priced. Scratch that one off.
His products get delivered to the customers, and they work. Again, theres nothing controversial on the Net about James Schramko. The three criteria, history and reputation (in one word, authority), promotional style and customer satisfaction all play in to each other. Ultimately, if James Schramko was a scam, he would have been exposed back in 2006.
